Appleby Magna Services on the M42
Appleby Magna is the stop at the very end of the M42, at Junction 11 on the A444. It is a fuel station and a drive-thru rather than a full service area, well placed for anyone moving between the M42 and the A42.

What is here
The filling station is run by Shell, with a Shell Select shop and Deli by Shell. The McDonald’s opened in June 1993 and was described as the company’s second ever UK roadside restaurant. Shell took over the fuel station in 2013. There is a free cash machine, and short-stay parking for cars and lorries; the McDonald’s car park has a 90-minute stay limit that is enforced.

Where it sits on the road
Junction 11 is where the M42 ends. Northbound, the road carries on as the A42 towards Ashby-de-la-Zouch, East Midlands Airport and the M1 at Junction 23A. The junction also serves Burton upon Trent and Measham on the A444, and Nuneaton for traffic heading south.
